Nosh (v): to eat enthusiastically. That about sums it up at Nosh, Melbourne’s new wellness cafe and poke bar.

Nosh began life with a range of signature poke bowls—think classic combos like diced tuna doused in roast sesame sauce, tamarind Tiger prawns or Teriyaki-glazed soybean cakes. CBD workers gobbled them up like nutrionally-balanced hotcakes, which allowed Nosh to open a second venue last month, in Dockland’s Collins Square.

These days they’re branching out from the poke concept, unleashing a healthy range of nori tacos. Crispy tempura-bubbled seaweed pockets, stuffed with a mix of Asian-inspired meat and veg. The Banging Beef is a deadest winner (sticky Korean BBQ honey beef with coconut turmeric rice and sesame seeds), but you should probably also order a couple of the Spicy Salmon with Sriracha mayo. Load up that plate—Nosh food is wholesome, fresh and 100% guilt-free.

There’s a create-your-own bowl option if you want to mix things up, allowing you to load your plate with sous-vide fennel chicken, then whack on toppings like spicy Kimchi, goji berry or pickled ginger.

Coffees, cold pressed juices and a range of Lo Bros. organic kombucha round out the uber-healthy menu. If you’re after a can of Coke Zero…go elsewhere.
